Applications for Youth City Council are accepted during February

Application forms are available in the front office at Lone Peak High School. They can also be printed by clicking on the Youth Council link at alpinecity.org or obtained by calling Jan Richards (492-3536) or Penny Linford (492-0923). 
All applications are due by March 7, 2008.  Please send completed applications to Jan Richards, 575 N. Bald Mountain Dr., Alpine, UT  84004.  You will be notified of a time and date for an interview once your application is received. 
During the year, the youth council meets every 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month for about an hour. In addition, there are also service projects and activities.
This past 2007-2008 season the Alpine Youth City Council was involved in many different activities around Alpine:

• Responsible for displaying the flags along Main Street for flag holidays
• Activities with the residents of River Meadows Assisted Living
• Plant flower at the City Cemetery for Memorial Day
• Usher Alpine theatrical productions
• Various Alpine Days activities such as the youth dance, water games and parade
• “Meet the Candidates” Night
• Clothing drive for the Navajo Reservation and a humanitarian trip to Monument Valley
• “Santa Comes to Alpine”
• Attend the Utah League of Cities and Towns conference in Salt Lake
• Attend the Youth City Council Leadership Institute at Utah State University
