THE OPEN BURNING PERMIT WINDOW OPENS MARCH 30th AND GOES THROUGH MAY 30th
This 60-day period is used to burn yard waste and tree trimmings. There are two permits required.
Permits are found at www.lonepeakfire.com and feel free to contact the fire department at 801-763-5365 with questions.
We urge those intending to burn yard waste to exercise extreme caution, have small piles, adequate fire breaks between other fuels, and never leave a fire unattended.
The second permit is a three-day air quality permit filed with air.utah.gov. The air clearing index is required to be greater than 500 and forecasting is only available for a three-day window. Multiple three-day air quality permits can be completed during the 60-day permit window if needed.
